23" slender tapered Shilen octagon barrel, by John Pell,

with quarter rib by Ross Billingsley. Leupold VX-3 1.75-6x32mm

matte-finished scope with fine duplex reticle on Warne quick-detachable rings

fitted directly to rib dovetails without separate bases. Stocked by Jay

McCament of figured California English walnut with ebony forend tip,

contrasting walnut forend escutcheon bushing, Grisel steel pistol grip cap,

wrap-around point-pattern 24 & 28-LPI duplex ribbon checkering with

mullered borders, crisp beaded sidepanels and right-side cheekpiece, QD swivel studs---

inletted and pedestalled at the rear, and smooth steel buttplate. Refined,

bead-blasted, surface-ground and electroless nickel plated receiver with

custom steel trigger, aligned lever-pivot assembly and custom-inletted safety

by Jay McCament. Color casehardened loading lever by Pete Mazur. Rust bluing

by Bruce Farman. Engraved by Tommy Kaye with rope borders, silver barrel band,

scroll details and each of the four species of bighorn sheep, one each on the

right and left receiver panels, one on the grip cap, and one on the butt plate.

Pull: 13 5/8". No cast. Weight: 7lbs, 6oz. Cryogenically-treated barrel. Used

by the maker as an exhibition piece at ACGG shows. Test fired only.
