Bolted Safety

Bolted Safety - A secondary catch on the safety, often seen on big-bore double rifles, designed to prevent inadvertent disengagement by a careless gunbearer.

In the left photo, the safety is bolted. 

In the right photo, the safety is unbolted. While still on "Safe", the safety is ready to be released.
