steel pistol grip cap, classic borderless point-pattern checkering and wrapping

around under the forend, beaded cheekpiece, inletted front and rear swivel

bases and maker's solid red rubber recoil pad. Kimber (Mauser) controlled-

feed dovetailed double-squarebridge action with model 70-type safety and

hinged straddle floorplate with release inside triggerguard. Converted from

.338 Win Mag to .330 Dakota by John Meyer of Custom Gunsmithing in

Boyce, Virginia. Swarovski matte-finish, 30mm diameter, 2.5-10x42 scope

with bold, illuminated, 4A duplex reticle on Kimber hand-detachable

mounts fitted directly to receiver dovetails without separate bases. Pull: 13

7/8". Weight: 9lbs, 2oz. The original Kimber, built in Clackamas, Oregon.
