Kipplaufbüchse or simply, Kipplauf - German term for a break-open single shot rifle. From the words Kippen (tilt) and Lauf (barrel). (Courtesy, Dietrich Apel.)
Also known as a Carpathianbüsche. Or, when fitted with a short barrel for stalking, a Pierstutzen. Or when fitted with a short barrel for mountain use and usually a full-length stock to the muzzle, a Bergstutzen.
