Liege Proof House Inspectors' Marks
Individual proof house inspectors also stamped the barrels of the guns they proved with a single Roman capital letter, surmounted by a small five-pointed star (which I have as yet been unable to convince my software to replicate).
Verifying that the proof date code indicates a date falling within the period of the inspector's employment, as listed below, will help corroborate the correct identification of that date code.
(Inspectors' letters were not used at all during the period 1968 - 1973.)
