Merkel 203-E Sidelock Ejector Exhibition Gun with Bulino Engraving

28" O/U barrels with full-length solid rib choked full/ex full, 14 3/8"pull

from articulated front trigger to checkered buttplate, 2 3/4"drop. Highly

figured walnut stock with capped pistolgrip, beaded pancake cheekpiece,

swivels and 3-piece field forend with Deeley pull-down latch. Built in 1985

for the International Gun Exhibition in Nuremburg. Very rare bulino-style

engraving from an 18th century copperplate engraving by J E Riedinger,

executed by Wilma Wolf, Burghard Hafner, a Mr Triebel and Joachim

Heim. Weight: 7lbs, 8oz. Very little used. Cased in oak and leather with

accessories. $24,250.
