24" tapered round Niedner barrel with King full-band front sight with inset

illuminating mirror. Prominently straight-grained European walnut stock with

sling swivels, classic point-pattern borderless checkering, steel pistol grip

cap, beaded pancake cheekpiece and solid red Old English recoil pad.

Metalwork by Lester Womack: Rigby/Mauser pre-war commercial slant-box

magnum action with original Mauser safety, hinged straddle floorplate with

release inside triggerguard, all matching Mauser numbers with both German

commercial and London proofmarks, and Lyman 48 receiver sight. Listed by

number in Speed's book: Mauser #14607 as a Rigby stepped-receiver

Magnum Squarebridge chambered for .400/350, mfd 1906. Rigby #2977 on

triggerguard for 1907. Pull: 14 3/8". Weight: 8lbs, 12 1/2oz. Little used since

custom build in 1982. Excellent bore.   $5975.
