27" SxS fluid steel barrels with extended muzzles, full-length flat hand filed

rib, sling eye, 1 standing and 1 folding express sights---the 100 yard with

ivory-inlaid triangle; the 200 yard with fine platinum line, and original Fraser

scope numbered to the rifle with fine crosshair reticle (two for elevation) on

the maker's quick-detachable mount. 14 1/4"pull from front trigger to

compound horn/red India rubber/checkered horn buttplate. Figured English

walnut stocks with lever-release splinter forend, horn pistol grip cap, classic

point-pattern checkering and with checkered sidepanels, beaded pancake

cheekpiece, sling eye, and border-engraved vacant gold initial escutcheon.

Fully fine-scroll-engraved receiver with deep-chiseled carving on fences,

double Purdey underbites, intercepting sears, active doll's head third

fastener, automatic ejectors, bolted automatic top tang safety with SAFE in

gold in BOLTED in platinum, and bushed firing pins. Weight: 9lbs, 12oz,

with scope. Built ca 1890 for Henry Clay Pierce of St. Louis. Retaining

98%blue and 90% casehardening colors. Tight, and with excellent bores. In

original oak and leather case with maker's trade label, oil bottle, turnscrews,

and nine compartments for boxes of ammunition.
