24” tapered round Krieger match-grade cut-rifled barrel with detent-hooded

full-band front sight with fine bead and flip-up twilight bead, full-band Super

Grade swivel base, radius-crowned and hand-filed quarter rib with 1

standing and 3 folding silver-lined express sights engraved 50, 100, 200 and

300 respectively. Fully figured French walnut stock with ebony forend tip,

engraved recoil crossbolt and trapdoor pistol grip cap, classic wrap-around

point-pattern checkering, beaded pancake cheekpiece, handmade rear swivel

stud, and Purdey-style leather-covered recoil pad. Original Mauser

commercial Oberndorf square-bridge magnum action with both original wing

safety and finely checkered tang safety built into the homogeneously

extended blind-action-screw top tang, checkered Canjar trigger, hinged

straddle floorplate with release inside triggerguard and three-panel

checkered bolt knob. Bottom metal with fine intertwining acanthus scroll

and a bulino scene of two lions on the floorplate by Lee Griffiths. B Nickel

Supra 1-4x scope with bold duplex reticle on original Mauser sporter quick-

detachable claw mounts with release button built into the rear squarebridge.

In a full-length oak and leather trunk case by Ray Sterck with horn

compartment-lid pulls, leather-trimmed canvas outer cover and muslin over-

cover. Accessories by J. Lozito: a horn-handled cleaning rod, nitre-blued oil

and grease bottles, and Classic Arms leather sling with "super-grade"

detachable swivels. Pull: 14 3/8". Weight: 10lbs, 5oz. New condition. $18,950.
