5" barrel. "Transition Model": Fully-checkered walnut grips, extended grip-

safety tang, receiver clearance cut, face of trigger knurled and cut back,

mainspring housing knurled and raised and width of front sight increased.

Shipped Jan 23, 1924 to Springfield Armory---the first shipment of 1911A1-

design pistols, but still marked 1911. Lanyard loop mainspring housing.

Unnumbered slide. Unmarked two-tone magazine. WTG inspected (single

circle). Assembler's mark 32. H in slide hammer-slot. Issued to Col Eliot

Whitlock, Mrs. John M Wilson's grandfather. Bought from Mr. John M.

Wilson. S/N 700751. 99%blue. Three small notches cut in bottom of left grip.

With issue belt & holster.   $8500.
