28″ SxS chopper-lump barrels with smooth concave rib choked cylinder &

modified. 13 5/8" pull from front trigger to perished old Silvers pad. 1 9/16 -

2 1/8" drop. 1/2" cast-off. Fully figured European walnut stock with Anson-

pushbutton-release splinter forend, straight English grip with semi-diamond

hand, teardrops, classic point pattern checkering with mullered borders and

gold oval. Case-hardened, small-frame, sidelock action stocked to the fences

and with gold-line cocking indicators, intercepting sears, automatic ejectors

and automatic top tang safety with SAFE inlaid in gold. Action and

lockplates with fine English rose & scroll engraving. Weight: 5lbs, 9oz.

London nitro proofs for 7/8oz. Built 1923. Fine condition, retaining most of

the original casehardening colors on the lockplates. 98% barrel blue.

Excellent bores. Tight action. Barrels on face and ring like chimes. Ejectors

in time. In maker’s original oak and leather case with brass corners, lined in

scarlet baize, with gold embossed black leather maker's label inside lid,

containing Harrison & Hussey-marked square oil bottle, brass jag, and a wad
