26" tapered round barrel with full-band front sight and swivel base, matted quarter rib with three folding express sights engraved for 100, 200 & 300 yards. Figured walnut stock with beaded pancake cheekpiece, engraved steel trapdoor pistol grip cap, classic point-pattern checkering and horn forend tip. 14 1/8" pull to Silvers red rubber recoil pad. Mauser Magnum Squarebridge action with striated bolt and with Howe-Whelen safety/bolt peep sight. Engraved by Rudolph Kornbrath and with gold ram's head on floorplate and original owner's name in gold on triggerguard. Actual stockmaker's name, John DuBeil. Weight: 9lbs, 1oz.
Provenance: Built in 1928 for D. Sramek. Sold by his son at Dunnings, near Chicago, in 1996. Purchased by Hallowell & Co. in 2008.
