26" SxS chopper-lump barrels with ramp front sight and twilight bead,

smooth concave rib, sling swivel, raised matted quarter rib, 1 standing and 1

folding express sight engraved for 50/200 and 300 yards. 13 7/8" pull from

matted and articulated front trigger to leather-covered recoil pad. Fully

figured European walnut stocks with Anson-release splinter forend, classic

point-pattern checkering, teardrops, steel trapdoor pistol grip cap, classic

comb, beaded pancake cheekpiece, vacant gold initial oval and rear swivel.

Bolstered frame with hand-detachable back-action sidelocks, gold-line

cocking indicators, intercepting sears, automatic ejectors, concealed third

fastener, bushed firing pins, automatic top tang safety with SAFE inlaid in

gold, long tang beaded-edge triggerguard and long top tang extending over

comb. Weight: 9lbs 11oz. Built 1923. Retaining 100% proper London reblack

and 40% original casehardening colors. Tight, and with very fine bores.

Later-build English oak & leather trunk case with maker's label and cleaning

accessories.    $44,450.
