25 1/2" O/U barrels of Bohler Antinit steel with matted ramp front sight and

matted quarter rib with 1 standing express sight. 14 1/2" pull from gold

washed front single-set trigger to checkered wood butt. Highly figured

European walnut stocks with three-piece Deeley-release splinter forend (the

slender sections fastened to the side ribs with engraved and horn-bushed

screws), round knob half-pistol grip, classic point-pattern checkering,

beaded pancake cheekpiece, vacant gold initial oval and no swivels.

Concealed-release hand-detachable sidelock action with intercepting sears,

double Kersten locks and double Purdey underbites, automatic top tang

safety, fully engraved with arabesque scroll, the insides of the lockplates

jeweled and the moving parts gold-washed. Zeiss Varipoint V 1.1-4x24 scope

with illuminated dot reticle on engraved claw mounts. Weight: 9lbs, 10 1/2oz.

Built 1976 at the Ernst Thalmann Werk/Suhler Jagdwaffen alongside the

identical Merkel-branded guns. 99% blue. Tight, and with excellent bores.  $12,450.
