Zimmerstutzen rifle.

 

The actual Zimmerstutzen action, mounted near the muzzle. The rifle, therefore, has an actual effective barrel length of around six inches.

 

 

Zimmerstutzen - A smallish single-shot rifle, rather like a miniature scheutzen rifle, of very small calibre, with the firing mechanism around five inches from the muzzle, but operated through a linkage by a normally-positioned trigger, for use in indoor target shooting, particularly in Germany and Austria.
