Charles Lancaster Four-Barrel Pistol .476 Eley $13,975

Four, 6" drop-down, Lancaster-oval-bore barrels with nickel silver blade

front sight. Broad V-notch rear sight. Left-side thumb-lever double-top-latch

barrel release. Automatic simultaneous ejection. Tranter-type double-action

advance via folding trigger spur extending through detachable

triggerguard, and with single-action firing. Checkered walnut birdshead

grips. Striated backstrap. Lanyard loop. Assembly number 33 on various

internal small parts. Barrel set mostly turned brown and frame blue

flaked to about 50%. But, breech face shows no sign of the pistol ever

having been fired. All bores simply excellent. Excellent mechanical

condition. From the Lancaster records, pistol #8344 was sold in November

1892 to James Herbert Gustavus Meredyth (Lord Athlumley) who was at

that time a Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards. In late 1892 he was

attached to, and serving with, the Egyptian Army.

John Manton Cased Pair Flintlock Duellers .50 Calibre $9,995

10" full octagon, scratch-rifled, damascus-twist barrels with fixed sights,

platinum touch holes, gold bands at breech and with MANTON - LONDON

inlaid in flush gold letters on top flats. Checkered, round-grip, half-stocks

with horn forend tips, ebony ramrods, iron furniture, and keyed barrel

fasteners. Rope-border-engraved flintlock actions with half-cock sliding

safeties, rain-proof pans, and roller-bearing frizzens. Triggerguards

engraved with panoply of arms. Pineapple finials. Retaining 60% barrel

brown. Built 1808. Somewhat used condition, but sound. In original

mahogany case with unengraved circular carrying handle, three-way flask,

combination cleaning rod, and bullet mold numbered to the pistols. Interior

re-lined, but displaying original trade label with 6 Dover Street address.

H W Mortimer, Cased Pair Sidelock Flintlock .64 calibre $8,950

London Pistols

7" flat-topped round damascus smoothbore barrels with brass bead front

sights, engraved LONDON. V-notch rear sights. Stocked to the muzzles and

with fully checkered bag-handled grips and with vacant silver escutcheons

atop wrists. Lightly-engraved sidelock actions with rain-proof pans, roller-

bearing frizzens, and sliding safeties. Long-tang triggerguard with pineapple

finials. Brass-tipped ramrods with worm retained in fire-blued pipe. In

retailer R. Essex's green-baize-lined oak case with bullet mold, oil bottle,

powder flask, cleaning rod with tips, flints, balls, turnscrew, and bone-

handled brush. Retaining 80% barrel brown, 90% original high-polish blue

on triggerguards, traces of original casehardening colors on locks. Even the

engraver's stadia lines for the maker's name are still visible on the lockplates.

Custom Ruger New Model Blackhawk .45 Colt $1295

4 5/8" barrel with ramp front sight and adjustable rear sight. Turnbull steel

grip frame and ejector rod housing. Stag grips. 99%+blue and 99%+

casehardening colors, both vividly done by Turnbull in 2016. With Bianchi

Model 16L leather flap holster.

Webley & Scott No.4 Pryse Pattern Revolver .476 Eley CF $5,750

5 5/8" octangular barrel with integral rib, blade front sight and fixed rear

sight, retailer engraved: W. GRIFFITHS, MANCHESTER. Double-action

with rebounding hammer. Hinged frame top-break with "Sugar-tong"

opening levers. Fluted, six-shot cylinder. Spring-return extractor. Tapered

lever-pivot supports. Webley's winged bullet trademark on left side of frame.

Nickel. Checkered walnut grips with lanyard-loop buttcap. Mfd ca 1884.

Engraved with original owner's name KENNETH GIRDWOOD on both sides

of frame and with his crest behind the hammer. Retaining 95%+ original

nickel finish and with an excellent bore. In oak presentation case with crystal

oiler, turnscrew, cleaning rod, Griffiths' trade label and owners brass

escutcheon on lid.
