Hallowell & Co., Inc. is always looking for good guns to sell. We take frequent full-page ads national gun-collector publications. We mail our own stocklists to regular customers. We show at the Las Vegas Antique Arms Show. We keep an extensive computer database of clients looking for particular firearms. We maintain this web site listing all the guns currently in our inventory---with the best photography in the business. We list our guns with gun classified-ad web site GunsInternational. As we are in a prime position to sell your gun(s), we can return to you the best possible price.
We will either buy your gun outright or we will sell it for you on a consignment basis. If you do not need the money immediately, a consignment will return the highest amount. For a consignment, we both agree on your net price for each gun before we sell it. That way, even if the buyer is a tough negotiator or trades several other guns for yours, you still get the money you expect.
Before we can evaluate what you have, we must see it. Please pack carefully and ship by UPS, FedEx or US Registered Mail. It is a good idea to dismount the barrels from a break-open gun; the shorter package is less vulnerable in shipping. Handguns may not be shipped by US Mail. All firearms must be shipped in a manner requiring a signature upon delivery. In case the carrier asks for it, our Federal Firearms License number is 81-35513.
When we receive your shipment, we will make a careful appraisal and contact you promptly. In the unlikely event that we are unable to come to terms, we will return your shipment. Under federal law, returned consignments guns must be shipped care of a local licensed dealer.
