Klipsch Model K-33 15" Woofers
For Klipschorns. Excellent condition. (Replaced in my system by the TAD TL-1602.) $150, the pair. |
I rebuilt my Klipschorns, using TAD drivers, ALK Engineering extreme-slope crossovers and Martinelli formed-wood midrange trachorns. These are not Belle Klipsch, Heresy, or any of the other smaller units. They are the full-sized, original Klipschorns. So, having replaced everything but the wooden cabinets, I have the original “guts” left.
The original Klipschorn speaker systems were shipped to me, brand new, directly from the factory in Hope, Arkansas on August 6, 1982. These woofers, however, are newer than that. I blew out the originals playing a particularly loud and very deep-bass pipe organ passage. So, I ordered a pair of replacement K-33-E woofers from the factory. They were shipped on July 11, 1989.
